Well now we’ve got levels we’ve got doors we’ve got some decorations and some triggers but something missing. Well allot of things are missing but the next tidbit of information I have decided to pas down in tutorial form is how to put water in your level.
Water is far easier to create than you think. during the coarse of this tutorial i will try to teach myself how to make glass and if I’m successful ill pass on that but of information as well.
First off set up a room with a well, an indent or something of the like. make sure the opening between where you have the water and where you don’t have the water is of a size you know. now simply right click on the add a sheet button. its in the very lower right and looks like a diamond, upon RIGHT clicking it you will get a box that asks for 2 crucial things, 1 asking for orientation one asking for size, for water always leave the orientation at floor/ceiling, would you believe a wall of water sitting there calmly that you could swim in and out of? I don’t think so. the second thing is the size. build the size you need to fill the whole or passage where you will have the waterline. IT MUST TOUCH All SIDES! Now click the add special button, it looks like a green square. it is 5ht down form the top ll the way on the right. You will be prompted with a box, all you have to do is go to the browse bar in that box scroll down and chose water. it will set all of the setting you need to make the surface of water. But you cant go swimming quite yet. that I only the surface of the water. On the browse bar on the right go to classes->Actor->Info->ZoneInfo->and chose WaterZone. Now hold down "A" and click in one of the 2d views inside where you want the water to be. use the three 2D views to position the zone marker so that it is completely in the tank/area where you want the water. To make your water realistic you need a nice bluish texture and make it move. right click it. chose surface properties, and chose small wavy. that’s it! add your player start a light, recompile the geometry and take dp in your brand new pool

What’s that you say? The pool was dry? The whole room was wet? A few things to check, when you had the brush lined up in the hole it was lined up perfectly touching all sides and not hanging over anywhere. its usually good idea to make the brush too large then de-intersect it. (de- intersect is the 4th button down form the top on the extreme right). It should shape your brush exactly to the size opening. if the room is flooded and the sheet was lined up check to see that the special sheet was set to "water" otherwise the waterzone properties spill out into the entire level. If the pool was dry make sure he waterzone marker was in fact positioned inside the pool entirely.
