Little of this, little of that: August 31, 2000
|

Went back and tweaked a few walkthroughs, and added some skill points I missed. I've played through some of mission #9: Paris, but I've been stuck at work 10 hours a day lately so I'm having trouble getting time to do this. I'm hoping to have the walkthrough up by Labor Day this Monday inspite of losing most of Saturday to *grrrrr* server maintenance.

Finally...something new: August 28, 2000

It took longer than it should but I've had some work problems that tied me up. Mission #8 walkthrough and skill points have been posted. Updates have been made to various walkthroughs. The tips page has some new additions and web sites. An finally, the equipment page has been updated with some news about the fire extinguisher.

Out 'o' time: August 27, 2000

Once again, its midnight and I'm just too tired to continue. I've got a bunch of updates planned including the next walkthrough I've written on and off for several days. Hopefully, I'll get have stuff posted sometime Monday.

FAKK me? FAKK you!: August 20, 2000

The rather brief walkthrough for Mission #7: Meet Mr. Dowd is up along with the usual screenshots, skills points, etc. Updates have been done to several walkthroughs with your suggestions and some new tips for the tips page. One interesting one involves using the Dragon's Tooth sword with a maxed Combat Strength aug to smash open locked items like chests or doors provided they are not infinity strong.
As the news title suggests, I've been playing some Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2. Wow, its incredible. And short. But level tools are on the way to let the fans take control. Check out the 3DActionPlanet site F.A.K.K. 2 Central for info, including a walkthrough.

*yawn* It's late. I'm tired. And I have to get up at 7:30am for work tomorrow ... err ... today. Posted are skill points and the rest of the walkthrough for Mission #6. Both parts of VersaLife are covered and I have combined everything into one link for Mission #6 rather than having separate parts. Suggestions emailed to me have been added across several walkthroughs. G'night.

Oh, yeah: August 13, 2000

More Mission #6 walkthrough and points have been posted. This covers everything you need to get to the entrance of VersaLife. It's been a rough week for me, my car died last weekend and I've been scrambling to find ways to get to work. Thankfully, I have a new car now so I hope to be getting more work done with the walkthroughs.
Oh, and checkout the equipment section. I've rearranged a few things and added some items.

You like that?: August 6, 2000

A small walkthrough covering Mission# 6.1 MJ12 Helipad has been added. The skill points section has been updated as well. Added the sword to the equipment section. I've been playing Mission #6 for a few days. Cripes. Every time I think its finsihed it keeps going.

Tweaky, tweaky, tweaky: August 5, 2000

Just about every walkthrough has had stuff added with suggestions I've received. One thing I would like to point out is that I made a mistake earlier about the crowbar. I thought Deus Ex would differentiate between lethal and non-lethal take downs. Actually, it doesn't. The Battery Park mission, for example, determines how "brutal" you are based on whether you charge in with Agent Navarre or used the backdoor. Using non-lethal force in the front entrance to Castle Clintion is still treated as a slaughter fest. I'm hoping to have a walkthrough for the first map of mission #6 up soon, the rest of it is going to take at least a week, maybe more. Hong Kong appears to be the largest mission in the entire game so please be patient.

I've got tone! Taking the shot!: August 2, 2000

Updates to the walkthrough for Mission #4: Paul's Errand have been added per emails I've received. The most interesting thing I learned is that Paul can be saved making for some interesting moments later in the game. The equipment section is updated with a few new things. A few more tips added to the Tips/Etc. section. My nifty Flash Menu has been shrunk a bit, it was gobbling up too much screen space. Both skill points and walkthroughs have been updated with Mission #5: Escape. Lastly, I got a few emails regarding the Liberty Island problem I mentioned last time. Two suggestion so far are:
- Use the USE key on the boat while highlighting it. Do not actually try to jump atop it.
- Set texture details to low. USE the boat and then after the next mission reloads set them back to high.
The second tip is a bit odd but if the computer is crunching textures maybe there is a problem with the game receiving the USE click needed to get to the next mission. I dunno.
