two notes:

1) the ION BBS is swamped--lots of people are posting reviews and asking for hints and such. we're trying to get it back up and running. in the meantime, if you have questions, look into one of the fan sites like dxnation.com or dxdot.com.

2) if you have a GEForce or TNT video card and you have speed problems, you can increase the frame rate dramatically by getting certain versions of the drivers for your video card and by turning 'detail textures' off from within the game. for the drivers, go to reactorcritical.com and get the 5.30 Detonator drivers. this seems to *really* help.
