Biomod Descriptions And Tips

 

Eye Biomod

Regeneration

Level 1 - Reconstructs organic tissues to heal user.
Level 2 - Speed healing process and decrease energy drain.
Level 3 - Maximize speed of healing process and decrease energy drain.
Tips - For those planning on a combat approach, use this. Stealth players can skip this if you're good at it.

Vision Enhancement

Level 1 - Enables nightvision, enhancing critical targets.
Level 2 - Organic targets visible through walls. Decreased energy drain.
Level 3 - All targets and critical resources (e.g. medkits) visible through walls. Decreased energy drain.
Tips - First time players should use this. At level 3 you'll see everyone and everything. Finding items is quick and easy with this biomod, especially those that are hard to find. Also, once you get the mag rail you'll find that aiming the emp pulse through walls is easier when you can see your target on the other side.

Spy Drone

Level 1 - Acts as remote spy camera and delivers EMP attack when detonated.
Level 2 - Add audio to camera and increase EMP attack damage and range. Decreased energy drain.
Level 3 - Increase EMP attack damage and range. EMP attack stuns organic units. Decreased energy drain.
Tips - This is one of those mods you should max out quickly if you intend to use it. So many uses for this guy. Since the drone is all but invisble to everyone, you can scout ahead with it. The EMP blast can handle all cameras, turrets, bots, and security systems. The drone can also trip security beams turning gas traps into weapons against your enemy. Finally, if you find a repairbot to camp in front of you can just keep sending drones out while the repairbot replenishes your bioenergy. Don't forget that at Level 3 you can even stun organic targets should you find yourself out of flashbombs.

 

 

Cranial Biomod

Cloak

Level 1 - Provides near-invisibilty to organic enemies. User becomes visible when you fire a weapon.
Level 2 - Decreased energy drain.
Level 3 - Decreased energy drain.
Tips - A good choice for stealth players. I strongly recommend getting this to level 3 before using it. This mod can consume bioenergy like a sponge. Cloak does not make you silent. Your footsteps will still be heard unless you have Silent Feet. Fortunately, the enemy only trigger on what they can see. Hearing you makes them suspicious but if you're quick they won't follow. One catch with Cloak is that should you use a weapon you will lose your cloak. So either make sure the target goes down quickly or just simply don't shoot anyone. You can however throw things at people and when you have Enhanced Strength you can even take down targets without ever decloaking. The Cloak cannot mask your thermal signature which is how machines track you. Cameras, turrets, and bots will still see you.

Hazard Drone

Level 1 - Provides protection from radiation, biotoxins, and other environmental hazaqrds.
Level 2 - Greater protection and decreased energy drain.
Level 3 - Greater protection and converts hazards into bioelectric energy. Decreased energy drain.
Tips - I didn't find many uses for this. You could combine this aug with gas grenades or the smoke grenades launched by the shotgun. Then you could enter the gassed area safely and either walk past the enemy or take them down with a melee weapon. I haven't figured out how or where you can get this mod to convert a hazard into bioelectric energy.

Neural Interface (Passive)

Level 1 - Enables user to hack security computers to control cameras. No energy cost
Level 2 - Enables turning turrets on/off.
Level 3 - Enables domination or alliance-switching options for turrets.
Tips - Level 1 allows you to hack but you'll want Level 3 to access all the options like turret control and alliance changing. I recommend that all first time players consider using this aug. It saves you from having to track down datacubes and passwords you might have missed for key areas (but not all unfortunately).
