Site Info
PlanetDeusEx was launched in February of 2001, after changing from
it's previous incarnation as a site called Deus Ex Incarnate. Deus
Ex Incarnate was founded in June of 1998 by Bruce 'Gwog' Ladewig,
after spending late nights in ION's chat room talking to DX programmer
Albert Yarusso. The site was originally a part of Gamespy Network's
ION Storm fansite hub Stormtroopers,
and was moved over to RPGPlanet
in the middle of 2000.
What Is Stormtroopers?
Stormtroopers is/was Gamespy's
ION Storm hub site, that collected information pertinent to ION Storm
and all it's games. The site was founded by Lucas 'TheZealot' Davis,
who worked for ION Storm as a part of the Anachronox development team.
In July of 2001, however, the Dallas branch of ION Storm shut down,
and with ION Storm Austin planning to continue on under a new name,
the need for Stormtroopers.com is gone.
What Is RPGPlanet?
RPGPlanet is Gamespy Network's central repository of all RPG information. RPGPlanet hosts many subsites dedicated to individual RPG titles, and also serves up stuff like interviews, reviews, previews, and more.
