Deus Ex Editing
ION Storm has released their editing tools for the public to use to modify Deus Ex for their own enjoyment. Readers who have never done any game editing, or who have a general curiosity about the subject, should check out the section below called Editing: The Very Basics. Here you can read general comments about user modification of commercial games, descriptions of some of the processes, and definitions. Everyone else should grab the tools and carefully read the included documentation. Make sure to grab the beta multiplayer patch, as it adds some important bug fixes.
Once you have gotten the tools up and running and are mapping away, make sure to visit the PlanetDeusEx Editing Forums to talk about your projects, find team members for large-scale conversions, or get advice. Good luck!
